Ramiz Nukic searching from the genocide in Srebrenica.

Ramiz Nukic walks through through the hill above his house, in the village of Kamenice, around 30 minutes drive from Srebrenica. He is a farmer and is also looking for human remains. There’s rarely a day in which Nukic does not find the remains of at least one murdered boy or man. He himself is responsible for finding the remains of about 250 people who were murdered during the Genocide in Srebrenica.

Aleksandar Vucic, the Serb prime minister, arriving at the Potocari Memorial on July 11th, 2015, before being attacked later outside during the commemoration. The large former battery factory and UN headquarter bears the marks of what happened there 20 years ago. Many were not happy that Mr Vucic with his past made the visit.

20 years after the Genocide in Srebrenica.

Coffins that are buried during the burial of the dead during the commemoration at Potocari memorial are stored inside one of the warehouses at the former car battery factory, formerly UN HQ during the war in Bosnia. It allows family and friends to come and share one last moment with the remains before the burial which take place on July 11th. Potocari, July 10th, 2015.

Mars Mira- Peace March 2015

The Peace March that takes place between Nzuk and Potocari follows the route the men, boys and some women took when they escaped through the woods from Srebrenica trying to reach the safe area of Tuzla. It is around 110 km long and a really physical and psychological challenge. It is hot in Bosnia in July- these men have just reached Liplje and enjoy a well deserved shower provided by the Bosnian army!

York, UK

York is down there somewhere, under that very big cloud.

Visiting York- The historic city centre, surrounded by its glorious town walls, was founded by the Romans in 71AD. The York Minster is beautiful- google it and you will see loads of pictures of it... not mine though.

The river, river is beautiful, well used it seems by the rowers.
York is a University town which is easy to recognise as you walk through it.

The Kravica Massacre.

"The Kravica execution (also known as the Kravica massacre) was one of the mass executions of Bosnian Muslims by the Serb Army during the Srebrenica genocide. It was committed on July 13, 1995, after take-over of Srebrenica. It is estimated that between 1,000 and 1,500 men were killed". Wikipedia.

The warehouse is located right by the road as you drive to Srebrenica. It is today used for storage by local farmers.
