This is meant to illustrate walking, basically. It will go with the "city scene"; looking or searching for somthing better. As the Cafe scene, this is a sketch and is originally a Wide format/ fil scale 16:9.
This scene depicts a "near meeting" moment. The idea is that two people almost meets and this meeting could change their direction in life, either professionally, personally or in any other way. These images are in no way ready, but consider this as a sketch.
Here are the raw files from the shoot with Chris. The idea was to create a metaphor for "going in circles", looking for the direction to take for the next step in life. The visualization of this short narrative was to be shot in a cinematic way to emphasise the continuation of the "story". Colouring/ gelling will come later. It is a "blue or a yellow chapter" as far as I am concern.
I am at the moment working on a project with a friend (See prior post further down..). Our thoughts are coming together and it is only a matter on when we can get together and do it! It is about the "times or moments when life takes a sudden turn". It is an interesting thought and allows for different interpretations. I feel we are close enough in our ways of seeing the project and to get it off the ground. Over the next two months we should be a long way on completing the photography and start the postproduction. As Alex is a musician, he will be doing the sound to this collaborative work. These images is from the first "scene" we shot.
Last week I was working for Hilton Hotel. They have just opened a new hotel in Canary Wharf, London. I was photographing their induction session for new employees. Canary Wharf is the "new" city area of London, a hyper modern financial district of town. It means anything built in this area is sleep and stylish. It was fun to witness the planning and the effort put into this project.
The play "SCENES FROM AN EXECUTION" by Howard Barker takes place this weekend and I photographed them during their last dress rehearsal. Here are some samples...
At the moment I am working with a friend, Alex, who is a musician, on a project. It is about merging Colour & Sound with a storyline. The storyline has to do with coincidence in life, about all those small moments that leads to bigger moments... Sometimes it is rather interesting to ponder on why you are in the situation you are in, whether it is a bad situation or the climax of your dreams.
